Hello,

I just bought a used 80GB PS3 (backwards compatible model) with a bad Blu-Ray drive in it. Everything else works, just the Blu-Ray drive don't. My question is, can I remove the bad Blu-Ray drive and continue to use the PS3 without a Blu-Ray drive inside until I buy a new Blu-Ray drive? Or is it dangerous/harmful to run the PS3 with no Blu-Ray drive installed.

Please Help.
